Why I changed career paths 3 times
Here is why I changed career paths THREE times👇🏼
Radio Production - I worked in this industry for 3 years before moving to London and changing sectors completely, during a recession! Before I changed career paths I thought I would work in broadcast media forever (I loved it and studied journalism at university).
Social Media Marketing - I spent almost a year working in an agency as a Social Media Manager working for clients such as Warner Bros. and Universal. I then realised that I wanted to work in a role that could really help people and involved less time on a computer and more time interacting with people and problem solving.
Talent & Recruitment - This has been where I’ve worked for 10 years; in roles such as Head of Talent & Inclusion at a high-growth e-commerce company to Group Talent Partner at an advertising agency network.
Alongside my roles in HR & Recruitment, I started Career Coaching to help others figure out ‘what next?’ and achieve their career goals 💭⚡️
While sometimes a career path is clear, other times it takes time to figure out and can be like joining the dots of a puzzle... whilst wearing a blindfold! It can be helpful to have someone else there to guide you along the way 🙏🏼
