How to journal for productivity and fulfilment

Here’s how I journal and plan my day to help with productivity and fulfilment:

  1. I list 3 things that I’m grateful for that day (and write them as if they’ve already happened!)

  2. I write my top 3 goals for the day

  3. I write my to do list

  4. I have an hour planner in my diary too ( 6am -10pm) to write in any key appointments or tasks that I want to allocate to certain times. I also write in times for rest and breaks here to make sure I take time for me 🛀

I’ve been doing this daily for the last 10+ months (hello new lockdown habit 👋🏼 ) and I’ve found it so helpful to start the day by listing things I am grateful for before going straight into planning and task mode.

A huge part of my Career & Fulfilment coaching is centred around fulfilment and what we as individuals can do to invite more of this into our lives. There is often a misconception that we need to be 100% fulfilled by our work all the time, and while this might be true for some, the reality is that most of us get true fulfilment from a mixture of work, hobbies, and home life.

Some of the clients I work with are generally pretty happy with their careers, but there is a sense that something is “missing”, or a sense that they are on autopilot in their jobs with little that excites them outside of work. We work together to uncover obstacles and what steps they can take to transform that sense of “missing” to feeling whole and fulfilled.
